So my new channel is BellajElyse
Ive also been thinking about doing a new video series since I havent uploaded a new video in a while
You ready??
Drumroll....

A Kim Kardashian  Inspired Makeup Series!
Her looks are so requested, ( Im also a bit obsessed haha) plus, my skills have improved so much over the summer, Im just really excited to start.
So heres some photos of various Kim faces that I plan to try out:

LOL - Good concealer techniqie - I knew that Mario Dedivanovic video tutorial didnt go that in depth!

August 2011 Faves

I haven't been wearing too much makeup this August - but when I do, there has been very select few I notice myself reaching for. Most are MAC - completely unintentional. LOL :)

MAC Naked Lunch. Ive been obsessed with a Summertime light, shimmery eye. Perfection :)

MAC Warm Soul. This gives me a freshly bronzed glow. I would describe it as a shimmery bronze rose.

MAC Chatterbox. I live for this lipstick when I use a foundation on my lip as a base, just to tone down the colour a bit. It stands out - but not in a neon sort of way. I would describe it as a warm pink.

The 228 mini shader brush by MAC, which has a very undeserved low rating on MUA. This is essential for creating a soft shadow in the crease before graduating to a deeper shade. Love!

The Mac 219 pencil brush is a magic wand! The ends are perfectly taperes for extreme percision. This was my first MAC brush, and I reccoment it to everyone!
This Spa Resource eye sweep brush is super fluffy and quite dense. I normally applied one color to my lids this summer - Naked Lunch, and used this to apply it. Packs on the color no problem. I couldn't live without this brush! (Okay, I'm being a bit over dramatic, but seriously - everyone should give this brush a try)
I got it for about 3 bucks at Wal-Mart! Score.
Mary Lou-Manizer by The Balm. Once I got my hands on this I have never looked back! Never searched for another highlight, period. It is a soft shimmering champagne with a hint of gold and its loaded with pigment. I usually apply it with my fingers because i think application with a brush would be over the top..thats how little you need. I throw on some foundation and sweep this on my cheekbones and the bridge of my nose, and voila! Good to go.
PS-This compact contains double the amount you get in a usual blush by MAC ;)
What are your Summer faves??

LIGHT Summer Version of a Smokey Eye

Wondering how to get a light, bronze smokey eye for summer?
It can be hard! Too dark looks very harsh in the summer months, not to mention the creasing in the heat. heres my tutorial on a simple, light smokey eye. I'm wearing it today to go out for Canada Day. Enjoy and have an awesome day!!

Happy Canada Day! What Should I Wear??

So tomorrow is Canada Day and Im a bit unsure of what to wear. No question about the festive makeup though- because theres no way in heck I'd go out in red eyeshadow!

I think I'm going to spend the day drinking beers and having fun with my closest friends.
I'm contemplating which of my red sparkly night on the town (ermm..more like whole entire day in the backyard  haha) shoes to wear.

What do you think?
Hope you all have an amazing Friday Night & Canada Day!!

Makeup Haul!

Hey Dolls!
So heres my weekly Thursday post - as promised! I went to Sephora and MAC and spent a bundle..as to be expected. Saving up those Beauty Insider points lol!

1) NARS Eyeshadow in Mekong (brown) and Night Fairy (purple)

Nars eyeshadows run me about $32 dollars. Double what most eyeshadows sell for, but they also have 2.2 grams of pure colour packed in there, which is also double the amount of most eyeshadows. In a MAC shadow, there is only 1.17 grams.
 2) Lancome Eyeshadow in Kitten Heel
Okay, this looks tacky in the photo. But I`ve been using it on brides and they fall in love! It is so multi-faceted, but it is mainly a pink with gold shimmer. It is so creamy and easy o blend. Horray Lancome!

 3) MUFE Aqua Cream 9.
This is a coral pink. I use it as a lip colour because i find it a bit hard to blend, even as a lipcolour, I mis it with a gloss, usually NARS Turkish Delight so it moves around the lip better. This is my new HG lip colour - it wont budge for hours!

 4) MAC 4 Pan Palette
From left to right: Satin Taupe, Woodwinked, Tempting, and Carbon.
Palette 2 - Shroom,
All that Glitters, Swiss Chocolate, and Mystery.

What can I say about MAC that hasnt been said before. Theyre eyeshadows are excellent quality, wonderful blend-ability and colour payoff, not to mention the convenience of the palettes, which is a dream for me! Instead of hauling around 8 separate shadows, I throw these stackable pans in, and voila! Boy , do I sound like a commercial yet? haha.

 5) Too Faced Diamond Gloss in Fire and QUO Powder Foundation in Soft Beige.
This is my second Too Faced purchase. I`m very impressed with them! This gloss is a sheer light pink with gold shimmer. Notice I said shimmer, not sparkle.
The QUO purchase is for an upcoming client, cant comment much on it as of yet, but it was a medium to full coverage and great consistency.

 6) Smashbox Blush in Flush

Sheer tone light pink loaded with cute shimmer! One of my clients gave this to me after we bonded over makeup! I have the best clients in the world.

7) Too Faced Primed and Poreless and MUFE HD PowderThe Too Faced doubles as a primer and as a finishing powder. Wow! It works wonderfully as a finishing veil, have yet to try it as a primer. It makes your skin silky smooth!
The MUFE packaging drives me crazy - everytime I open it there is major spillage, so I`m thinking of putting a sift in it so I can control the amount that comes out. It has a fragrance to it, which doesnt bother me.

8) QUO False Eyelashes in 801.
I was looking for some lashes at Shoppers, looking for something similiar to the Ardell 110 lash. Unfortunately, Ardell isnt sold there so this was the closest dupe I could find. It cost me about 3 dollars more though *sigh*

The problem with this generation, is that we grow up too fast

Now, I'm so star writer - Nor do i claim to be. But as I'm sitting here in my Lasenza robe contemplating my life, I feel like theres some things that I'd like to say.. So..here I go.
I feel like I'm having a midlife crisis before I have even turned 20. I sit here often and think that life has got nothing to offer me. I am a  Makeup Artist and that brings me more joy than anything! Doing what you love is a very powerful thing, let me tell you. But its not a career you can live off of unless youre a Celebrity Makeup Artist living in LA or something to that extent.
I start to feel my self esteem going down when Im looking everywhere, cant find a job, am not in a successful relationship (yeah, my boyfriend is a lying piece..) And dont have a ton of cash.
BUT what i did realize is that we let things that are "supposed" to happen define us. Such as a job, getting your own house, car, etc. Those are the paths we think we are supposed to take, and when things dont work according to plan, we feel like shit, As if we're failing and then we become uninterested in life and say it sucks.
Unknowingly, society has shaped the way I think and the way I view what has value in life. I just realized, why dont I enjoy what life is offering me rather than be upset over what I think it should be offering me?
I am healthy. I have a hamster, 2 dogs, and a kitten that can make me smile anyday. I have one best friend that I love. I live in a safe area and dont ever have to worry about going hungry. I run a blog that it moderately successful and I spill my heart out and can automatically feel better. I make woman look and feel beautiful by doing their makeup.
That may not sound like a whole bunch to you, but it sure as hell gets me by.

Oh Dear.

This is what happens when procrastinators have blogs. LOL
I would like to apologize to my followers for being a complete and utter failure as a blogger as of late. I know I shouldnt make excuses but things have been crazy.

I'm finishing up my Makeup School and trying to cram as much as humanly possible. I've been booking Weddings and proms like crazy and I feel like I have no time to do makeup on myself to show yall.

ALSOO , I am giving my blog a major facelift, including a new name, new layout, etcetc , making shit all beautiful for your eyes. If you have any suggestions, please do let me know! I'll take every piece of advice into consideration.

So tomorrow, I will begin updating my blog regularly and uploading YouTube videos every Friday.
Anyway, just wanted to get that off my chest! i love you all, even if you dont love me atm;)

Revlon Smoked Peach Lipstick

So as soon as I saw the name Smoked Peach I kindof/sort of fell in love. Peach shades are just my thing, and I find that they compliment my skin tone better than any pink ever could.♥

It's definitely an orang-y peach, not a true peach shade. It is a matte lipstick with some slight luminosity to it.
I've seen lots of less-than-stellar reviews on Makeup Alley, mostly complaining about the orange tone and many find it to be drying. This lippie does not deserve all of the negative reviews. I did not find it drying at all, probably because I exfoliate or moisturize my lips every day. Lip moisturizing is just as important as moisturizing your skin.

PLUS, Matte lipsticks tend to be drying, period. I find this alot in MAC's matte lippies. Anyway, ready for some pics?

Confession: I bought an unused tester because it was brand new and all sold out.

Here is is with Guerlain's Kiss Kiss gloss in Mango Fizz overtop. Yummy! You like??
