Revlon Smoked Peach Lipstick

So as soon as I saw the name Smoked Peach I kindof/sort of fell in love. Peach shades are just my thing, and I find that they compliment my skin tone better than any pink ever could.♥

It's definitely an orang-y peach, not a true peach shade. It is a matte lipstick with some slight luminosity to it.
I've seen lots of less-than-stellar reviews on Makeup Alley, mostly complaining about the orange tone and many find it to be drying. This lippie does not deserve all of the negative reviews. I did not find it drying at all, probably because I exfoliate or moisturize my lips every day. Lip moisturizing is just as important as moisturizing your skin.

PLUS, Matte lipsticks tend to be drying, period. I find this alot in MAC's matte lippies. Anyway, ready for some pics?

Confession: I bought an unused tester because it was brand new and all sold out.

Here is is with Guerlain's Kiss Kiss gloss in Mango Fizz overtop. Yummy! You like??

UD naked palette

YAY!
After months of searching Sephora with no luck, I ordered my UD Naked palette from Phylicia at Expensive Pink.
Got it for about half the price too!
I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the outside it this amazing purple velvet. Ouuu lala, how luxurious!
I finally see what all the hype was about! Beautiful for creating neutral and smokey eye looks, I definitely want to purchase the full size products because I'm sure to fun out soon.
I got this photo from Bakes Beauty Blog because I'm sure you've all seen the Naked swatches before, no point in making new ones!
The only think I would note is that the last two shades are a lot more blue than they appear in the photo.
Anyway, I just waned to share my complete freakin' excitement about getting this in the mail.
YAYYY. Anyone else head over heels with this? Let me know

HAUL : Drugstore & Sephora

This post is definitely a bit overdue! But here are some goodies I picked up at the mall recently
Rimmel Lipstick in Pink Blush: I love Rimmel lipsticks. They're my favourite, other than MAC. This is a light pink lipstick with blue tones. I dont usually like blue tones pinks, but I must admit, this looks great on me!
Boots No.7 Lipstick in Sienna: Coral/Red. Very pin-up!
NYX Eyeshadow in Africa: An orange eyeshadow through & through. The flecks of glitter look huge but as you can see in the swatches, they aren't that noticeable.
L'Oreal Blush in Innocent Flush: Really Sheer Pinky Peach. Nice for a subtle flush :)
Wet n Wild Bronzer in Princess: Okay, this is honestly my new favourite bronzer. It's SO pigmented and a a verrry sexy colour ;) Reminds me a ton on MAC Refined Golden, but for only 4 dollars. Seriously you should go out and get this! FOTD coming soon with this!

Sephora Brand Primer: This gives you a pretty glow! I wouldnt use it all over during summer, I love it as a highlight under my foundation though.
Smashbox Gloss in Pout: Very blue tones baby pink. On the fence about it as of now!
NARS Turkish Delight: Um need I say more? Heheh. Milky peach pink and am currently looking for a dupe for an  upcoming post!

Swatches
Top to Bottom: Boots No 7 Sienna, Rimmel Pink Blush, NARS Barbarella.
NYX Africa, wet N Wild Princess, Loreal Innocent Flush.

Revlon's Peach Nectar Nail Polish!

Hi girls!
So I've been feeling quite festive now that spring is finally in the air
I painted my nails a wonderful pastel peach colour called Peach Nectar by Revlon.
It's quite sheer, and took 3 coats for complete opacity .

The amazing thing about this nail polish is that I haven't even been wearing a protective Top Coat over it! It's been about one week and I don't even have a chip! Okay, well I have one small chip, but i think its incredible that It's lasted this long with no top coat!
Im also rocking some pastel pink on my toes as well, hehe! It's called Tickled Pink & it's by Wet N Wild.
Post your fave spring nail colours!! I'd love to know :)

Annabelle Spring 2011 Collection...YAY

SO excited about this collection! I went to get some alcohol and ended up detouring to look at makeup..obviously haha. For those who haven't heard of Annabelle, they are a Canadian company that sells only at Shoppers Drug Mart, and is medium priced. The glosses cost me $10 :)
They sort of remind me of MAC, with the whole sassy, sexy, attitude thing.

Loved the glosses, Annabelle usually makes very shimmery lip products and the matte finish is a nice change
From right to left: Missy Miss and Dollywood.

I Wasn't overly impressed with the eyeshadows, they were a bit powdery and the colour payoff could have been better. Annabelle does makes great loose eyeshadows though!

I ended up getting the peach gloss called "Missy Miss". I would have normally opted for pink, but it reminded me a ton of Mac Viva Glam GaGa. So low & behold..I got home and swatched the 2 and they are really similiar! Viva glam is more pigmented though.
Viva Glam is at the top. Dupe alert?

Mini Update: New Shoes :)

Just got these shoes in the mail!! As if i would ever wear them. They're just for decoration! They're Pleaser's and remind me of a Stripperella version of Ed Hardy, haha.

You can also catch a glimpse of my makeup table, which I will deffinetly take more pics of once I get it organized! Im keeping my blushes and bronzers in that Juicy Couture Perfume box, and Im verrry quickly running out of room
Anyway, I'll sign off for now, I'll be posting my new NARS purchases ASAP :)

Hard Candy: Sheer Envy Review

I am currently uploading a video review on YouTube if you'd rather check that out :)
I bought this primer from Wal-Mart about a month and a half ago for 8 dollars. What a deal, right? I'd never tried Hard candy but the packaging looked cute so I went ahead and bought it, and was pleasantly surprised!
I loved it and it was the only primer I wore. It was so light-weight. It made my face so soft, and there were no flakey patches on the sides of my nose anymore! My face looked flawless and really eased foundation blending.
I also LOVED that it created a perfect barrier between my oily skin and my makeup. I would rarely get oily when I wore Sheer Envy.

But recently, our love affair ended :(
I was applying it as per usual, and as I squeezed it out of the tube, all that came out was liquid with some small clumps. Looked just like diarrhea!! The contents of the tube had separated! Instead of the creamy consistency, I either get white liquid or large white clumps.

I used it none the less, only to find it no longer worked, and I still have over had the tube left!
Didn't help my foundation blend, and I became oily after  a few hours. I tried shaking it, opening up the cap, everything just to try and make it work again. No luck.
(It does still make my face velvety soft, though.)
I will not repurchase and would not recommend it to anyone! I saw some comments on Makeup Alley warning about the separation, but didn't listen. Now I'm telling all of you to save your money, and skip this one.
It's fab at first, but just turns to crap after. I'm so disappointed because the price point and way it worked was great.

R.I.P Hard Candy Sheey Envy! It was fun while it lasted.

 Overall Rating: 3/10

New Bed Set!

Figured I'd update my room a bit since Spring is finally in the air!
It's a black and white Toile design and I love it! Such a change from my usual pink.
STILL havent decided how I want to arrange my throw pillows, but here's how it looks for now.

Here's some extra pillows I found, debating whether it would look too cottage-y if I put them on. Thoughts??
And I have my lambie-pie stuffed doll on the bed, always :)

Lise Watier Loose Mineral Shadow: Review

This is Lise Watier's "Coulleur Folle Mineral Loose Powder Eyeshadow"  in the color Folie Douce. Folie Douce is a very shimmery bronze pink.
They really couldn't have made a more unnecessarily longer name. Anyways, the Lise Watier website describes this as "an eyeshadow that gives you a soft and natural finish, and a richer, more glamorous look just by playing with the intensity."
They couldn't have been any more spot on! These eyeshadows are very pigmented and extremely easy to blend. Now, don't get me wrong, I like using it dry, but when it is used as a wet shadow, the color intensity multiples by 100! It turns in to a fast drying, stay-put cream shadow. It could work wonderfully as an eyeliner as well.
    Dry Swatch

     Wet Swatch

 Cons:
The packaging sucks. They do NOT travel well, which is unfortunate because I can't bring it along if I need to touch up! :(
I brought this eyeshadow out once, and the shadow ended up everywhere.

There are better eyeshadows out there for the value, as these retail $18 for 2grams, while MAC's pigments are 7.5 gms for about $22 Cdn.

Overall Rating: 8.5/10

They are jam packed with shimmer, so if you're not sown for sparkle, I suggest you skip this one!
